A Trust Deed (sometimes known as a Protected Trust Deed, or PTD) is a debt solution designed to help borrowers who can no longer afford to repay their
unsecured debts. It’s an agreement between a borrower and their unsecured lenders.

It is only available to residents of Scotland – the ‘equivalent’ solution in the rest of the UK
is an IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement).

What does a Trust Deed involve?

On a Trust Deed, you’ll be expected to repay as much of your unsecured debt as possible within a three-year time period (probably) in the form of
regular monthly payments. Your monthly payments will be calculated according to how much you can afford to pay after your other essential costs (things
like bills and groceries) have been covered, ensuring that all your costs remain affordable.

During a Trust Deed you will be legally protected against legal action regarding your debts, as long as you keep up with your payments. Just keep in
mind that if you miss payments, your Trust Deed could end up failing, which would leave your lenders free to take alternative action.

On successful completion of the Trust Deed, any unsecured debt you haven’t paid back will be written off.

Do remember the downsides, though: your credit rating will be affected for six years, and you will usually be expected to release equity from your home
as part of the arrangement if you’re a homeowner. However, the consequences of not entering into a Trust Deed when you need to could be a lot worse.

This website has loads of information and advice on Trust Deeds.

Do I qualify for a Trust Deed?

To qualify for a Trust Deed you must have unsecured debts that you can’t realistically repay in full within a reasonable period of time. However, you
must still be able to commit to regular payments to ensure you can repay a reasonable proportion of what you owe.

Remember that even if you do qualify for a Trust Deed, there are several alternative options that could be more appropriate for your circumstances. For
example, some people find that bankruptcy / sequestration is better for them, even though it is seen by many people as a last resort.

Always speak with an expert debt adviser before making any decisions on the right debt solution for your needs.

With the withdrawal of the ice, here were formed beautiful and deep valleys, and glaciers left crystal clear glacial lakes.

Scotland

Climate – Scotland has a cool temperate oceanic climate, which is influenced very strongly by the warm ocean Gulf Stream in the Atlantic. For this reason, winters here are often much softer than elsewhere in the world at the same latitudes. Often people who visit Scotland and those who live there joke that there are two seasons – winter and spring. In the period from November to April, the weather is cool with temperatures of 6 to 11 ° C. From May to October the weather is mild and pleasant, but not too warm. Temperature during the day in this period is from 14 to 18 ° C. The coldest month is January when daytime temperatures not exceed 6 ° C. The hottest temperatures are in August. Then during the day is around 18 ° C. In rare cases, temperatures can reach 22-23 ° C. Night temperatures are usually about 1 ° C in the winter and reach 10-11 ° C in the summer. Rainfall is abundant throughout the year and are relatively evenly distributed by month. Range from about 70 to 90 mm per month. Most dry is in April and most rainy is in August. Snow fall relatively rare, but are not excluded. Here, unlike the more southerly parts of Britain, temperatures rarely fall, and not below freezing.
Nature of Scotland is truly exceptional. This is one of the most magnetic parts of the continent. The first thing that strikes tourists when they arrive in these places is that everything is green. The reason is the cool and humid climate which makes Scotland a paradise for plants. Seen from an airplane, Scotland is a mosaic of dense forests, lakes with mirror surfaces and countless farms. The local landscape is picturesque. The planes are rare. There is always a hill or mountain, which broke the skyline on the horizon. One of the greatest beauties of Scotland are its lakes. Most of them are of glacial origin. Loch Ness is one of the most popular not only in Britain but also worldwide. His fame is largely based on the mysterious creature that appeared mysteriously in the dark lake waters. It is known as “Loch Ness Monster” or “Nessie”. Over the years have been a number of pictures that shows something, but this thing can hardly be likened to a monster. For some – it is fin, others think it is head with long neck, and third think it is simply rotten stump, which is fed from the water. But whatever it is, the fact is that attracts crowds of tourists who come here hoping to catch a glimpse of something strange and unusual. It should be noted that the atmosphere in Scotland prompted to mysticism. Dark and quiet surface of lakes, vast expanses where the only you can hear is the howling of the wind, playing with light clouds and lights which are unique. Scotland is a land which is rich in water – surrounded by sea, dotted with lakes and crossed by countless rivers. The reason is frequent rainfall and low evaporation of water.

Edinburgh Castle

Even if only because of the dark beauty of the buildings reported the story, it’s worth to go in Scotland. But because of Edinburgh Castle you just shouldn’t delay your journey.Castles of Scotland have usurped much of the true glory of the country. They may rank equally with whiskey and celebrities such as Mary Stewart, Robert Burns, Adam Smith, Walter Scott, Arthur Conan Doyle. Some of them remotely resemble toys forgotten among the closely cropped grass, and closely resemble the setting for a film in which knights and kings sometimes are too much. The interior of the castle is usually as a museum, but anyone can lie down in the huge tub of cast iron legs or to drink whiskey by the fireplace, feeling a minute part of a glorious history.

Castle in Edinburgh

Castle in Edinburgh

“The Castle of virgins” – so named at the beginning of XI century Edinburgh Castle. According to one tradition, the Picts (ancestors of Scots) kept in captivity here precious girls. Three centuries later, the most revered Scottish King Robert Bruce ordered to destroy the castle not to fall into the hands of British invaders. Twenty years ago, when Scotland acquired autonomy, Edinburgh Castle was restored.

Today the main gate is “guarded” by the sculpture of Robert King and his knight William Wallace. The tower of the castle remind the golden heart of a woman – Queen Margaret, who died of grief right here when learned that her son and her husband had fallen in battle with the Normans in 1093. The legend is alive – in charity “Saint Margaret” could join any woman named Margarita and lives in Edinburgh. Scottish war memorial, built in 1927, recalls the valor of the men who fought for his country. Every day, exactly 13 hours from a cannon in the castle spread salvo. For guests of the city is shocking surprise, and for the local – a kind of reminder for the right time. This peaceful attraction existed since 1861.
